Picture
This painting began on an acrylic sheet - experimenting with food ingredients and water-based colors. Once it dried I intricately dissected more than half of the surface and saved all of the removed pieces for later reapplying. I had the painting rest on top of a lightbox to have its illuminated state determine its progression. When it was pretty much finished I captured many hundreds of macro still photos of all of its sections to make be frames in a new video. Once the painting was finished I built a wooden box that it could fit right into, with LEDs under the painting, to complete as a painting built into a lightbox.
