I don't like trying to write summaries for work that's only tangible reference there is would be to just go into the physical steps taken. Sometimes there are certain things I notice during the process that loosely remind me of familiar concepts. This painting is a good example to me of how several sectors all feel completely unique from one another, (in the same way places can). Every impression and perceived challenge I felt for those sections feel like connections to that time and place. All too often with abstract work I have a difficult time feeling like and deciding I'm finished. It's usually best if things age and I come back to them later because I believe all of those layers of time are contained.
